On Saturday, December 14th, Auto Collision & Glass hosted our annual auto body skills competition for Boces students from WNY as well as other parts of New York.
The schools top two juniors and top two seniors competed in the following events:
Dent repair, parts identification, paint mixing, painting, plastic repair and estimating. The first and second place winner in each category won a plaque and an amazon gift card. The overall junior and senior winners won a 3M paint sprayer kit and bag. Our overall Senior won the Auto Collision & Glass trophy to bring back to their school.
We even had a competition for the students parents and siblings. It was called Guess the estimate. The person who guessed the amount closest without going over on an estimate for a vehicle we were doing repairs on in our shop won an autographed Khalil Shakir Buffalo Bills jersey.
We are proud to host this event and to help the students get ready for the SKILLS USA competition coming up this January.
